Digitization Portfolio
In Survey of Digitization, we gained hands-on experience digitizing cultural heritage materials that can be found in archives, museums, libraries, or anywhere materials “meet digital.” Scanned formats include: textual documents, glass plate negatives, film negatives and transparencies, photographic prints, audiocassettes, and videocassettes.
Additionally, we learned about imaging tools and standards, image editing and color correction, OCR capture, copyright and legal issues, digital preservation, digital asset management, and how to collect, manipulate, and embed metadata.
We contributed digitization to:
State of Texas vs. Jack Ruby case files
Texas Department of Agriculture Prescribed Burn Board audiocassette tapes
Texas Department of Agriculture videotapes
