About me

I entered the School of Information with a strong academic background and career rooted in art history and design. In 2010, I received my Master of Fine and Decorative Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art-London and went on to work at both Sotheby’s and Christie’s auction houses. I left the luxury art market to live in Los Angeles and work in the entertainment industry, most recently at The Walt Disney Company. Whilst working at Disney, I utilized their incredible animation research library and consumer goods archive to create content for marketing materials. These experiences sparked my interest in pursuing a second master’s degree in Information Studies, focused on archives and material culture.

I’ve had the opportunity to work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Fine Arts Library, the Alexander Architectural Archives, and as a Teaching Assistant for Museum Studies. My experiences have provided insight into academic librarianship, archival work, and teaching. I’ve also completed the Portfolio in Museum Studies which allowed me to take classes outside the iSchool, specifically at the School of Architecture. Courses at UTSOA strengthened my vocabulary and analytical skills of interior design history and styles.

I will receive an Endorsement of Specialization in Archives and Material Culture and believe my coursework at the iSchool, combined with previous masters, and inherent interest in architectural and design history, provide me with a robust toolkit in which I could work as a curatorial archivist or interior design historian. I believe my ePortfolio reflects my understanding of materials and their inherent vices, digitization, digital asset management, and interior design scholarship.
